Origin and properties of the ingredients

Soap as a detergent substance is obtained by simply boiling fats with lye. Each fat base has slightly different washing properties due to its different origins. Coconut oil as a soap base, for example, has particularly good cleaning power even in harder water. Soap made from palm oil provides the necessary hardness and durability. Both soaps in combination therefore form the optimal basis so that the stain-removing power of the bile substance can fully develop.

Technical data
Soap is slightly alkaline when used. The green chlorophyll color of the soap bars can become lighter when exposed to light. However, this does not affect the stain-removing power of the gall soap. The brownish color that then appears is the natural gall color.

Store between 10 and 25 °C if possible.

Keep out of reach of children.

Application

Product features

A tried and tested, highly effective, inexpensive and incredibly economical stain remover. Excellent for washing out stool stains on wool.

scope of application

Highly effective agent against stains from fruit, blood, ink, ballpoint pen, grass, grease, etc. Suitable for all white and colorfast colored textiles made of cotton, linen, hemp and mixed fabrics.

Application and dosage

Wet the bar of gall soap and rub it into the dry fabric, then leave it to work for 10-15 minutes, rinse thoroughly or put the item of clothing directly into the washing machine. Repeat the process if necessary. If the item is heavily soiled, leave it to soak overnight.

For coloured textiles, please test the colour fastness on a hidden area beforehand.

ecology

Biodegradation

After use, soap immediately loses its surface-relaxing properties in the immediate reaction with the lime that is always present in wastewater (primary degradation) and therefore no longer attacks living organisms. The lime soap is then 100% broken down by the microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Cow bile, as a purely natural product, is completely broken down within a few days and returned to the natural cycle. According to the OECD, soap is considered to be easily biodegradable.
