Mata Origin was born from the desire to remind families of something that is actually quite natural: to perceive babies, to trust them, and to accompany them mindfully from the very beginning.
We believe that much of what parents are looking for is already within them. Trust. Intuition. Closeness. The ability to understand their child.
For us, EC (Elimination Communication) is a way back to this connection. Not as a rule. Not as a performance. But as an invitation to make everyday life with a baby more conscious, easier, and more natural.
Our vision is for EC to become common parental knowledge in Europe – as a natural, loving, and everyday alternative or addition to disposable and cloth diapers.
To make this path easier, we develop clothing and products from natural materials that support families in their daily lives. Thought-out, high-quality, and designed to relieve rather than burden.
We want to provide guidance. Make new paths visible. Empower mothers. Support families. And give children space to grow up free and connected.

Merino wool, natural rubber, and wooden buttons reflect our commitment to developing products that feel good, last a long time, and are created with respect for children, parents, and the environment.
Our clothing should be soft, natural, and comfortable. It should provide freedom of movement, facilitate elimination communication, and relieve parents of a decision: What should I dress my child in so that they are warm, safe, and yet practically dressed?
We believe that baby clothing should be able to do more than just look nice.
It should last. Grow with the child. Provide relief. And support families in pursuing their own path with more confidence, closeness, and ease.

Why do you work at Mata Origin?
Because through elimination communication, I have found my strength and potential as a person and as a mother. It allows me to be the mother I want to be for my children, and I believe that EC can also be a path to self-discovery for many other parents.
What is important to you in your motherhood?
Authenticity. Always facing my children with respect, having love as a guiding light and honoring both my boundaries and theirs is the path I try to walk.
What is important to you regarding to clothing?
Clothing hast to make my life easier. I don't want to spend every day deciding how to dress my child. It stresses me out. I love clothing that takes this decision off my plate because it is thoughtfully designed in both function and style. This is the kind of clothing I create for Mata Origin.

Why do you work at Mata Origin?
Although I didn’t practice elimination communication with my own two children, I was deeply impressed by Magdalena’s passion for EC. The dedication and passion with which she runs her company moved me. Through some happy coincidences, I ended up in the Mata Origin team and I am very grateful for the opportunity to make a difference together with Magdalena and Julia, to contribute to making the world a little better.
What is important to you in your motherhood?
Every day, I try to stand on the same level as my child and find solutions together in our daily life. I respect my children’s feelings and help them learn how to cope with them. Since becoming a mother myself, I have become aware of how much work we, as a society, still need to do to achieve gender equality in all areas of life. As a mother, I am especially concerned about issues such as unpaid care work, mental load, the part-time trap, and the availability of childcare places.
We can’t change the system we live in overnight, but we can inform, educate, and encourage a change of thinking in the bubbles we live in.
What is important to you in clothing?
First and foremost, it should be comfortable. Of course, the look also plays an important role, as we want to feel good in our clothes. Since working at Mata Origin, I have developed an even greater awareness of slow fashion. It is high time to invest in slow fashion, to promote it, and to spread it further.

Why are you part of Mata Origin?
Because I know from my own experience how valuable elimination communication can be. I accompanied my children through EC and learned that it doesn't have to be perfect. It's okay if things go wrong. And every family can find their own way.
At Mata Origin, I support parents who have questions, are unsure, or simply want to try EC – without pressure, without ideology, and with a lot of understanding for real family life.
What do you wish for parents and children?
I wish that parents would regain more trust in themselves and their baby. Elimination communication doesn't always have to be the focus. It can simply be a natural part of everyday life.
Even if parents can't reliably recognize signals, they can offer EC in typical situations. And part-time elimination communication is also valuable – at home, on the go, or however it fits the family's resources at the moment.
What is important to you about our products?
Our products should make elimination communication easier. Comfortable clothing, enough absorbent material, and natural materials can really lighten the burden in everyday life.
It's important to me that products don't create additional stress, but rather support families in living elimination communication lovingly, practically, and relaxed.

I don't come from the classic diaper-free world. Precisely for this reason, I see how important it is to pass on this knowledge clearly, understandably, and undogmatically.
What do you wish for parents and children?
I wish that children are taken seriously from the beginning. That we look more closely. And that parents can regain more trust in themselves.
Mata Origin cannot change the world alone. But we can provide guidance, share knowledge, and show families new ways.
