Diaper inserts for babies – natural, absorbent, and suitable for everyday use

Diaper inserts are among the most important companions in everyday life with a baby. They reliably absorb moisture, increase the absorbency of cloth diapers and elimination communication diapers, and ensure that your child stays comfortably dry.

In this category, you will find carefully selected diaper inserts made from natural materials such as organic cotton and hemp. All products have been tested by us in our family life and have proven themselves when diapering, practicing elimination communication, and in a diaper-free lifestyle.

Our Mata Origin organic cotton diaper inserts are particularly popular. They are pleasantly slim-fitting, absorb quickly and a lot, retain their shape even after many washes, and dry significantly faster than many other inserts.

For home, on the go, and at night

Which insole suits your everyday life?

Not every situation requires the same absorbency.

At home and awake: Often, a light, slim insert is sufficient – especially if you regularly practice elimination communication and the backup is primarily intended to catch small accidents.

On the go: In the car, in the carrier, or when visiting, you can't always react immediately. In these cases, a bit more security is welcome.

Sleep phases: For longer periods, a more absorbent combination can be comfortable. Our cotton inserts, for example, can be supplemented with a hemp booster for this purpose.

Mobile babies: The more your baby rolls, crawls, and explores, the more comfortable a slim and uncomplicated backup will be.

The best insert is not automatically the most absorbent. The best insert is the one that fits your needs at that moment.

A backup that adapts to your everyday life

When practicing elimination communication, the insert should ideally remain simply in the background.

But real days with a baby are not always predictable. Sometimes you miss a moment. Sometimes your baby sleeps longer. Sometimes you are out and about.

In these cases, the backup should provide you with security – without making elimination communication complicated.

If the insert stays clean, it can be reused. If something does get in, it is changed and washed.

Why natural materials?

Babies spend many hours each day in close contact with their diaper inserts. That's why we deliberately choose natural materials such as GOTS-certified organic cotton and hemp. They are skin-friendly, durable, and can be washed and reused again and again.

This results in less waste, less plastic, and at the same time more comfort for your baby.

Frequent Questions About Diaper Liners

What are diaper inserts used for?

Diaper inserts absorb moisture and increase the absorbency of cloth diapers or elimination communication diapers. They can also be used in changing pads or as an additional absorbent layer.

Which diaper inserts are particularly absorbent?

Organic cotton diaper inserts offer an excellent combination of absorbency, skin-friendliness, and quick drying. For even more absorbency, we recommend combining them with a hemp booster.

How many diaper inserts do I need?

Many families start with 10 to 20 diaper inserts (i.e., 2 to 4 packs). The exact number depends on the child's age, the washing frequency, and your daily routine.
