Crawler EC Nappy – for Babies on the Move
Is your baby rolling, crawling or starting to stand? The Mata Origin Crawler is designed for this active stage. You can open it without taking the whole nappy off, and it stays on your baby even when open.
Potty opportunities become easier without completely undressing your baby. With densely felted merino wool and suitable absorbent inserts, the Crawler provides reusable backup for everyday family life.

Babysize or Crawler – which EC nappy fits?
Both EC nappies open quickly for elimination communication. Babysize is designed for young babies in their first months; Crawler is made for babies who are becoming more mobile.

Reusable wool backup with absorbent inserts
The densely felted merino wool forms the nappy cover. Add suitable washable organic cotton nappy inserts for absorbency. A hemp booster can provide extra capacity if needed. Wool is breathable and, with proper lanolin treatment, can help repel moisture. As with any nappy system, the fit and absorbent material matter.
Everyday use and wool care
Combine the nappy with our Cowboy EC trousers or EC rompers. Airing is often enough between uses; follow the wool care instructions if soiled. Lanolin helps maintain the wool cover's moisture resistance.

Material
The raw wool for this product comes from Argentina, is GOTS-certified, and mulesing-free. It is knitted in our knitting mill on the Swabian Jura, not far from Lake Constance – processed regionally, fairly, and with great care.
This product was manufactured in our also GOTS-certified sewing factory in Hungary.
Washing instructions
- Wool detergent
- Hand wash or wool cycle up to 30 °C
- Spin up to max. 800 revolutions
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat
Wool is naturally self-cleaning and antibacterial. It does not need to be washed immediately upon contact with urine or breast milk stool. Simply let it dry, brush it out, air it out, and only wash it if that is no longer sufficient.
The elimination communication covers should ideally be lanolized before first use and then approximately every 4 weeks after washing. Detailed instructions can be found here.

The Crawler training nappy fits babies from approx. 7.5 kg. Or, expressed in months, from approximately 6-7 months until the end of the nappy-wearing period.
Bear in mind that the build and growth development of babies, especially in the first few months, is very individual.
